The Global Logistics Center Germersheim: an island supplying the whole world

The peninsula in the Rhine, on which the central warehouse for Mercedes-Benz After-Sales logistics is located, covers 1.7 million square meters: the Global Logistics Center - GLC for short - in Germersheim. The central warehouse forms the distribution and control center of the global parts logistics for Daimler AG and offers state-of-the-art storage technology. In addition to the administrative processing and control of logistics processes, the operative processing of parts logistics of Mercedes-Benz is also located in Germersheim.

In addition to the main Germersheim location, the Global Logistics Center includes additional external locations in Wörth, Ettlingen, Offenbach and Hatten, France. Approximately 1.2 million square meters of storage space guarantee a continuous supply to customers. Around half a million different parts, from the body shell to the wheel nut, are ready and available. 3,100 employees ensure the smooth running of all processes and ship approx. 1,600 tons of vehicle parts around the world in one day. The GLC supplies the wholesale level of the group in 160 countries with Mercedes-Benz, smart and FUSO parts and accessories.

Central depot in Tuscaloosa

Another central depot in Tuscaloosa (USA) primarily supplies the NAFTA region with parts and accessories from Mercedes-Benz. A range of products that includes around 50,000 part numbers are stored on approx. 100,000 m².
